District News Release

9:25 a.m.

Today, at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Norton Shores Fire Department was dispatched to Lincoln Park Elementary School.  The situation involved a small, contained fire in one of the bathrooms of the building. 

Students were immediately evacuated and were safely outside upon arrival of the fire equipment.  During this time, all students were safe and accounted for.  All students were supervised throughout the entire emergency. 

Fire personnel determined the building to be safe for re-entry and students were escorted back to their classrooms.  School business has been resumed as usual.
