In an effort to
decrease costs while ensuring no loss of services, Mona Shores and
Muskegon Public Schools have formed a consortium to deliver credit
recovery programming for 17-19 year-olds and adult education classes
at Glenside School. This collaborative effort will ensure the
continuation of quality services while providing a convenient
location for both Districts’ residents. Superintendents Joseph
Schulze, Muskegon and Terry Babbitt, Mona Shores are pleased to be
able to better serve students while reducing costs to their
respective districts. Both school Boards approved the
recommendation at their June meetings.
Classes at
the Glenside site will operate Monday through Thursday mornings and
two or more evenings per week, based on need. Additionally, evening
tuition classes for credit recovery will be offered at $135 per
one-semester credit class. Muskegon Public Schools will also
continue to offer adult and alternative education classes at its
Angell School location, M-TEC.
Enrollment
for fall classes will begin in August. For more information please
contact the Student Services Office at M-TEC (231) 720-2530.
